Rebuilding Community Infrastructure
Rebuilding Community Infrastructure (Rebuild) is an initiative of Mayor Jim Kenney to invest $500 million in the city's parks, recreation centers, playgrounds, and libraries over seven years. It’s aim is to remake Philadelphia’s landscape of civic assets, advancing an equity agenda for neighborhoods by improving public spaces, boosting economic opportunity and civic capacity, and creating social connectivity through capital projects. PlanPhilly was first to report on Rebuild in February 2016 and is reporting on the development and progress of the mayoral initiative.
