State review board approves creation of Wayne Junction National Historic District

The state Historic Preservation Review Board Tuesday approved the creation of a Wayne Junction National Historic District, the beginning of an effort to preserve and redevelop some manufacturing and warehouse buildings left over from the neighborhood's industrial past.  More »

 

City Council starts the year with a handful of revenue- and job-generation bills

At-Large Councilman Bill Green introduced five bills aimed at securing city-funded jobs for city residents. Council President Darrell Clarke reintroduced bills on Development Districts and advertising on municipal property.
