Dear PlanPhilly member,
Earlier this week, the Steering Committee for the Central Delaware Process discussed design guidelines for large-scale development which will be incorporated into the civic vision we’re developing.  These guidelines will impact access to the water, parking, scale and other important issues which will make the waterfront a livable, urban and vibrant place.  Civic leaders on the Advisory Group are participating in this discussion, and we’ll keep you updated as we revise and strengthen this document.  You can view video of the discussion, read a report and view the draft guidelines here:
What’s New on PlanPhilly
PlanPhilly continues to report on issues related to planning and zoning in the city.  Many of these stories are not covered by print newspapers or TV, so it is vitally important to surface this information.

May City Council Forums
This year Philadelphia’s entire City Council will be elected.
To anyone who wants to see City Hall cleaned up or zoning reform enacted or neighborhood business centers revived or sound fiscal oversight instituted, these Council elections should be a very big deal.
Make your voice heard and meet the candidates. We will head out into each of the 10 Council districts to hold forums with City Council Candidates. At each event you can:
–Question your district’s Council or the at-large candidates
–Discuss the mayoral candidates’ positions and qualifications
— Vote in a straw poll on the mayor’s race
–Vote in a straw poll on the casino question
Registration is REQUIRED.  REFRESHMENTS WILL BE SERVED.
