Recovery.gov website now active

Recovery.gov

As many of you already know, the Obama administration has launched Recovery.gov, a new website that President Obama says will allow citizens can track every dollar spent and every job created during the implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). The administration will also invite citizens to weigh in with comments and questions.  The new website currently features a feed of recent announcements, a breakdown of the investments the federal government will make as part of the ARRA, and a timeline for how the funding will be allocated.

Though the website’s efficacy has yet to be seen, recovery.gov at least appears to be a positive step in the direction of openness and transparency at the federal level.
