West Philly politicans oppose Campus Inn hotel project

University City Review: Two West Philadelphia political leaders to the Zoning Board of Adjustments opposing Campus Inn zoning application…

Third District Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell and Pennsylvania State Congressman James Roebuck have both submitted letters to ZBA Chair Susan Jaffe over the last few months expressing their opposition to the proposal to approve zoning that will allow construction to begin on Campus Inn, an 11-story extended stay hotel development proposed at 40th and Pine Streets.  Both letters indicate that community opposition is strong and that discussions around the traffic flow and relative neighborhood density have yet to be resolved.
