See video testimonials from final city budget forum

The fourth and final citizen budget forum was held last night from 6 to 9:30 at Pinn Memorial Baptist Church, 2251 N. 54th Street in West Philadelphia. Citizens are being asked for their input as the city is faced with a $200-million budget gap for the fiscal year beginning July 1.

Nearly 40 citizens gave personal 2-minute video presentations that will be posted online today and delivered to Mayor Michael Nutter as he shapes the next budget.

It should be noted that while many citizens believe Philadelphia City Council should also be held accountable for a measure of budget cuts, at-large councilman Bill Green has been the only member of that body to attend all the forums so far. Councilman Frank Rizzo joined Green at the first workshop in the Great Northeast. Fourth District Councilman Curtis Jones attended Monday night final forum. Check out Bill Green’s video testimony.
