Pets Plus USA gets human body delivery

By Shannon McDonald

Employees at Pets Plus USA on The Boulevard got a morbid surprise yesterday when the exotic fish delivery they were expecting turned out to be the human remains of a man in his 60s.

US Airways mistakenly delivered the body of 65-ear-old Jon Kenoyer to the pet store. Kenoyer’s remains were headed from California to Allentown, where his body is to be used to scientific research before burial.

Kenoyer’s body eventually made it to Allentown, but the fish are presumed dead. US Airways released the following statement to the media: “Regrettably, there was an unfortunate mix up today (Tuesday) at the US Airways Cargo facility near Philadelphia International Airport. The mix up occurred due to a verbal miscommunication between a delivery driver and the cargo representative. We are working to rectify the situation and are deeply sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.”
