WXPN Launches Sustainability Series

PENN’s WXPN, the “Adult Album Alternative” music radio station, located in Unversity City has announced that “Sustainability –The New Frontier” a new, seven-week series of features that addresses sustainable agriculture, business, transportation and lifestyle will begin airing on Earth Day, April 22nd.

The guests to be interviewed over the seven-week period include:

  • City of Philadelphia’s Director of Sustainability, Dr. Mark Alan Hughes;
  • Vice President of Lehigh Nanotech, Paul Osimo;
  • The Pennsylvania Environmental Council’s Director of Sustainable Development Programs, Spencer Finch and Communications Manager Jessica Anderson.

The features, produced by XPN Morning Show Host Michaela Majoun, will air at 6:40 a.m. and 8:40 a.m. with additional news reporting by Bob Bumbera. The features will also be re-broadcast throughout the day. The station’s website (XPN.org) will provide 24/7 access to relevant links and audio for the features.
