Weekly Press: Philadelphia Gets a Look at Solar Energy

Weekly Press: PV America attracts national Attention

PV America was hosted at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from June 8-10, and featured a technical conference, trade show, and public policy round-table that attracted photovoltaic innovators from across the nation. The event marks the first of its kind to integrate technical developments and policy issue surrounding the photovoltaic industry into a single conference, and was presented by the Solar Energies Industry Association (SEIA) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). A wide range of attendees included CEOs, photovoltaic installers, technology specialists, policy makers, financers and other industry leaders spanning all sectors of the economy.

Although solar energy has no roots in Pennsylvania, the event was located in Philadelphia because it is at the heart of the Mid-Atlantic region, which has adopted some of the most progressive incentive policies and grant programs throughout the country.
