July 25: Skate Space in East Kensington Opening Event!

Franklin’s Paine Skatepark Fund, the Friends of Pop’s Playground, and New Kensington CDC present the grand opening of Skate Space, a multi-use, skateboard friendly public space in East Kensington.

In the past few years residents of East Kensington have organized to revitalize this community playgruond.  Through strong partnerships and dedicated volunteers, this reclamation of public space celebrates community involvement and investment, showcases our neighborhood identity, and provides recreational opportunities for neighborhood youth.
