ORIGINAL STORY – Eight-year-old twin sisters were injured in a hit-and-run accident yesterday afternoon in Lawncrest.

Eryca and Kaitlyn Bradfield were walking to a nearby store to get candy around 3:30 p.m. when they were hit around the intersection of Colgate Street and Cheltenham Avenue. One of the girls was run over.

Police are looking for the driver of a 2007 gray four-door Lincoln Town Car. Though witnesses were able to get a tag number for the car, the suspect got away. Authorities have spoken to the owner of the vehicle, and are trying to determine who was driving the car during the accident.

One of the twins is in in critical condition at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, while her sister has only bumps and bruises.
