This week in the NEast: Feb. 1 – 5

There is a ton of stuff happening every week in the Northeast. From family events to health seminars, senior gatherings to neighborhood meetings, you’d have to quit your day job to keep up with it all. Every week, NEast Philly will highlight some of the upcoming events in the region. For the full list, you’ll have to check our Calendar.

Monday, Feb 1. Members of Fox Chase Art Group will come together to talk with local artists and work on projects of all mediums. The group meets every Monday at the library (501 Rhawn St.), and new members are welcome. 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb 2. Time to knit! If you want to learn how to knit, or just hang out with other people who do, the JCC Klein Branch (Red Lion and Jamison roads) hosts Knitting Nook every Tuesday at 12:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 3 Moms of multiples convene at the John Perzel Community Center (2990 St. Vincent St.). The Northeast Philadelphia Mothers of Twins and Triplets Club meets the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 4 It’s time for the monthly Frankford Civic Association meeting. Held in the second floor conference room of Aria Health-Frankford at 7 p.m., the meeting is a place for residents to discuss pressing neighborhood issues.

Friday, Feb. 5 No two-letter words! Northeast Regional Library (2228 Cottman Ave.) hosts Scrabble every Friday at 10:30 a.m. for players of all levels and ages.
