61 animals removed from Mayfair home

SPCA workers spent three hours yesterday removing several dozen animals from a Mayfair home.

Officers found 6o cats and one dog living in unfit conditions in a home on the 4500-block of Teesdale Street. None of the animals had been receiving proper care, the dog was found with a skin condition and the litter boxes were full, a CBS3 report said.

The two sisters in their 30s who live in the home will face charges for unsanitary conditions, and one of the women was treated for a cat bite. After thorough examinations, the animals will be placed for adoption.
