Food For Thought: Cafe MichelAngelo

Are you looking for a great spot to go and hang out with your friends?  Are you looking for that great spot to be in the NEast?  Well look no further, because Cafe MichelAngelo at 11901 Bustleton Ave. is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m.   Providing great service, fabulous food and a cozy ,warm environment even on the outside patio area, MichelAngelo’s is the place to be.  Prices are reasonable and the food is fantastic.

There is plenty of parking in the lot right next to the restaurant, but beware: there are potholes!  The establishment is very welcoming to patrons and the staff is always ready to serve with a smile. The tables and flatware were cleaned and not sticky, as were the floor and chairs.  I was very happy with the apparent tidy appearance of both the inside and outside areas.

The appropriate attire for this establishment is a casual dressed look similar to a business casual day of work.  Later at night you might see a more club atmosphere, so be prepared for some dresser occasions.  The food was served warm and arrived in a timely fashion for each course.

If you are looking to eat light but still have a satisfying dish, I would recommend a cup or bowl of the Maryland Crab.  Fresh chunks of crab float in a rich and creamy sauce that is very heavy, but tasty.  The Crepes Florentine add a bit of French cultural flare to this Somerton eatery.  Blintzes filled with spinach, mushrooms and peppers prepared in a béchamel sauce add the perfect combination of flavors and aroma to this dish.  The crab was prepared so succulently that it crumbled in my mouth without having to chew.

For my main meal I had the Scallops Lemon Caper dish, which was prepared to perfection.  I was pleased to see fresh bay scallops were used and that the lemon flavor was just enough to complement the seafood delight without over powering its taste.  I would highly recommend this dish to all seafood lovers.  The menu at MichelAngelo’s is accommodating to all with choices of pasta, meat and vegetarian dishes.  Save the burgers for another place, since there are so many tasty dishes of elegant style offered at this restaurant.

If you are looking for a great evening out with friends in a cozy environment head to Cafe MichelAngelo and enjoy the great service and food at reasonable prices.
