Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Expo set for May 12

From the Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce:

The Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Expo will be held Wednesday, May 12 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Holy Family University in the Campus Center Building’s gymnasium.

Co-sponsored by the Northeast Times, the event will bring together more than 75 businesses and nonprofits who will display their goods and services from a wide variety of industries.

Exhibitor tables are available at $425 for members and $550 for non-members. Free admission is with business card only.

“This is the best opportunity you will have to maximize your market share,” said GNPCC President Al Taubenberger.  “We are working hard to create the optimum event for all businesses to publicly demonstrate their capabilities.”

The GNPCC Annual Business Expo has become a rite of spring for many area merchants.  At the 2009 Expo, for instance, the following industries were represented:  banking, travel, dining, catering, health care, communications, social services, senior living, education, maintenance, warehouse clubs, beverage, online services, commercial development, payroll services, insurance, floral, auto body, storage, nursing, imports and hotels.

Thousands of local businesspersons, many of them key decision-makers at work, attended last year’s Expo, and are expected to do the same again next month.

The Second Annual Business Expo Luncheon will be held before the Expo, starting at 11:30 a.m.  Philadelphia Inquirer Publisher Brian P. Tierney will be guest speaker.  The luncheon will be held in Holy Family’s cafeteria in the Campus Center building.  Tickets are $25 for members and $40 for non-members.  Please reserve your ticket in advance.

As is custom at the Expo, a large array of beautifully decorated gift baskets will be on display for Silent Auction.  Donations for these baskets are sought.

The Expo will feature various samples of local cuisine with the ‘Taste of Northeast Philly’ with restaurant and catering exhibitors. In addition to the Northeast Times, the Expo is co-sponsored by Holy Family University, Wawa, WFIL-WNTP, Chapman Northeast Ford Lincoln Mercury, Nazareth Hospital, Fox Chase Bank, Clear Channel Outdoor, Verizon Wireless, Wesley Enhanced Living, Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News.

“This year’s Expo is going to be a blockbuster event,” Taubenberger  said.  “We want you to be part of it.”
