UC Review: Clark Park gets donation from 27th Ward Democrats

The Friends of Clark Park wish to thank the Democratic Party Committee of the 27th Ward for a generous donation of $500 to the PARC fund. This fund was established to pay for the design of the renovations in Clark Park A, from Baltimore Avenue to Chester. The design was produced by Studio/Bryan Hanes, and is currently in the bidding process. We expect construction to begin around Labor Day and continue through the autumn of 2010.

The photograph in the article shows Carol Jenkins delivering the check to Frank L. Chance, President of the Friends of Clark Park, during the Love Your Park event on May 8, 2010. Love Your Park, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Philadelphia, was a day of cleanup and other projects in over 100 parks around Philadelphia. The Clark Park projects for the day included cleanup around the shuffleboard court and the Tot Lots, and preparation of new recycling containers to be installed in the Park. – Frank L.
