Tree Canopy Exhibit Wins National Museum Award

The Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania

Philadelphia, PA

Metcalfe Architecture and Design created an interpretive plan for all visitor experiences at the Arboretum, including the design and planning of “Tree Adventure,” an exhibit occurring in nodes throughout the grounds. The exhibit features a canopy walk that will take visitors on a handicap accessible 450 foot journey, five stories into the treetops. The design incorporates sustainable green strategies for construction, site impact and choice of materials.
