Philadelphia County Safety Map

Philadelphia Speaks has posted on their forum a map of what some people may consider safe and unsafe neighborhoods throughout the city. Created by dorydorado, this map illustrates green, yellow, orange and red area, which outline the levels of safety in specific areas. Some of these boundaries may be controversial because it depicts certain neighborhoods as being red zones, encouraging citizens not to go there.  Other neighborhoods are recognized by orange and yellow, which imply that they are unsafe to visit during the night and certain parts of the day.  Green areas suggest safe zones, neighborhoods where anyone can visit without worrying about their safety.
