Officers from the Northeast arrested in drug sting

Two police officers were arrested yesterday after robbing a drug dealer who turned out to be an undercover DEA agent.

The officers, both from the Northeast, have been charged with conspiracy, kidnapping, robbery, unlawful restraint and false imprisonment after allegedly stealing 20 pounds of marijuana and $3,000 from the agent, the latter of which was reportedly found in the officers’ possession at the time of the arrest.

Charged are 31-year-old Sean Alivera of Burholme and 23-year-old Chistopher Luciano of Walton park, both from the 25th District. The officers, who’ve served the department for 10 years and three years, respectively, have been suspended for 30 days with intent to dismiss.

According to a report from Fox29, the officers intend to have another dealer distribute the drugs on the street.
