Taser death ruled accidental

The Medical Examiner’s office confirmed yesterday the October death of a teenager tasered by police was accidental.

Patrick Johnson, 18, died two months ago after a police officer tased him following a domestic incident in the Johnson family’s home on the 6900-block of Souder Street. The M.E. ruled Johnson died of a pre-existing heart condition. Though the taser aggravated the disease, it’s been determined it was not the official cause of Johnson’s death.
