Police, thieves exchange gunfire at Upper Holmesburg CVS

Police are looking for three armed thieves who attempted to rob the Upper Holmesburg CVS earlier this week, and exchanged gunfire with officers.

After demanding medicine and money from inside the store on the 8500-block of Frankford Avenue, the men began shooting the inside of the drive-thru window to widen the space to escape.

Police responded to the sound of the gunshots and opened fire when on of the thieves pointed a gun. All three men got away, but one is believed to have been shot.

The thieves are described as three white males in their late 20s or early 30s. No one in the store was injured, despite it being relatively full at 8:30 in the evening.
