Weekend News Briefs: 3/18 – 3/20

Friday — Police are looking for a Lincoln Town Car involved in a hit-and-run accident that left a 4-year-old boy in the hospital. The driver struck the boy around 8 a.m. as the boy ran out between cars on the 1600-block of Pratt Street while walking with his father. The driver fled the scene in what may be a limo car. The boy suffered jaw and facial injuries and was in critical condition.

The man responsible for killing two women in Frankford has been arrested. Shaun Warwick is charged will killing cousins Marcedes Ivery and Tiffany Barnhill on Valentine’s Day. Ivery and Barnhill were found dead of multiple gunshot wounds in a home on the 5400-block of Rutland Street.

Saturday — Family and friends have announced a benefit for Father Judge High School sophomore Jim Burke. The 16-year-old suffers from Legg Calve Perthes Disease and needs a major operation to rebuild his hip, followed by up to a year of recovery.
