Dog of the Week: King

King is a gorgeous chestnut-colored pit mix who is approximately 1-2 years old. He is neutered and up to date on all his vaccines! He currently lives at the city shelter–and trust me, that’s not a fun place to be a dog! King was originally surrendered to the shelter because his owners were moving and could not take him with them. He was adopted and recently returned because his family did not have time for a dog. King is very nervous and scared at the shelter.

He’s dog-friendly, kid-friendly and cat-friendly. He knows all his commands, is great in the car and has great leash manners. King absolutely loves going for long walks in a park. King is a medium-energy dog who could be a jogging partner but is happy just walking, too. He has some separation anxiety that should get better as he gains confidence. This handsome boy needs out of the shelter fast! Can you help him?
