NEast Links 5/2 – 5/6

Here’s a summary of the week’s Northeast news we didn’t cover. See others here.

Tuesday — A gas leak slowed traffic Tuesday morning near Aramingo Avenue and Wakeling Street. PGW shut down and repaired the main while Aramingo Avenue and Tacony, Wakeling, Bridge and James streets were closed temporarily.

Wednesday — About 300 homes were without water when a water main in Summerdale broke Wednesday morning. The eight-inch main break on the 4600-block of Tabor Avenue disrupted traffic while the Philadelphia Water Department worked to fix it.

Thursday — Someone in Wissinoming is tired of the quality-of-life issues. Poles have signs on them deterring drug use and prostitution, telling readers they’re on camera.

Pennypack Park has announced the dates and lineups of the summer concert series. Concerts begin May 11 and run through mid-September. Popular covers of Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel are not on the calendar.
