State gaming control board says SugarHouse can add more table games

SugarHouse Casino officials announced today that their request to add more table games has been approved by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

Three of the 10 additional tables are blackjack, four  are Ultimate Texas Hold-Em, and there will be one each of Mini Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, and roulette. This will bring the number of tables at SugarHouse to 53.

The added tables necessitate a 777 square-foot increase to SugarHouse’s gaming floor, expanding the overall gaming floor from 51,017 square feet to 51,794 square feet. The increase will be achieved by adjusting the current gaming floor, not through a physical expansion of the building.

SugarHouse’s original request sought an expansion of 14 tables, but the casino amended the number after determining 10 could be added quickly and without any construction, spokeswoman Leigh Whitaker said.
