Inmate dies in Curran-Fromhold stabbing incident

An inmate at Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility died last night after a stabbing incident inside the Holmesburg prison.

A 42-year-old was pronounced dead at Aria Health-Torresdale around 10:30 p.m. from multiple wounds.

Three other inmates were injured; two 24-year-olds were stabbed in the back and stomach, and a 28-year-old was stabbed in the back. All three are expected to recover.

It’s not clear yet what the inmates were stabbed with.
