Dog of the Week: Desi

Have you met the beautiful Desi (A13227780)? If not, you must run over to ACCT to meet her, as you will fall in love. Desi came to the shelter as a stray and has such gorgeous fawn tan fur with a white patch on her chest and on her toes and gold eyes.

Desi did wonderfully with her body handling and food tests, and really enjoyed all the scratches and hugs she gets from volunteers. She did well with her dog meets, although she seemed a bit more interested in the male she met. When he curled his lip at her, Desi didn’t even react. Desi showed a little too much interest in cats and should not live with them. Poor Desi really could use someone to take long walks with and curl up on the sofa. If you have a dog or young kid, please bring them to meet Desi and take her home today!

Desi is also in ACCT’s Pen Pal program. This program is designed to teach the dogs basic commands such as sit, stay, lay down, etc. A volunteer works with the dog to keep them social, housebroken and healthy. After adoption the Pen Pal volunteer will assist the adopter if needed. This program provides unparalleled assistance to adopters and the dogs. For more information about Desi please contact her Pen Pal Lara Kelly at larakelly AT comcast.net
