15th District Police look for suspect in spring robbery

Police in the 15th District continue to look for the man wanted in connection with an April 7 robbery on the 2800-block of Cottman Avenue.

According to the police report, the man tore a 75-year-old woman’s purse from her arm  after struggling with her to grab the purse. He fled on foot toward Revere Street around 3 p.m. and is still on the loose. The woman’s cash, credit cards, keys and identification cards were in her purse.

Police are looking for a white male, 25 to 30 years of age, approximately 5’6″ in height and 160 to 175 pounds. He was wearing a brown baseball cap with logo on front, blue jeans, white sneakers and a gray, orange and white hooded nylon windbreaker jacket. This male, seen in the video above,  is operating a dark red sedan —  possibly a late 1990s Ford or Mercury sedan with a sun roof.

If you see this man, call 911. To submit a tip to the police by phone, call 215-686-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip electronically.
