An Academy Gardens man sustained critical injuries yesterday in a house fire.

Crews arrived to a home on the 9200-block of Woodenbridge Road Monday around 8 a.m. where smoke was pouring from the second-story windows. It only took firefighters about 20 minutes to extinguish the blaze, but the man was rushed to Aria Health-Torresdale to be treated for smoke inhalation and body burns.
