Ice cream truck sells toy guns outside Holme Circle school

The policy on toy guns at Robert Blair Pollock Elementary in Holme Circle is simple: they’re not allowed.

But a parent called Fox29 recently when his child showed up to school with a toy gun the parent says was sold to the student by the ice cream truck driver at Welsh Road and Tolbut Street.

Video of the incident shows the driver insisting he only sells the toys to students after school, not before, and says he’d stop selling the guns if asked.

His sales are not illegal, but the parents who spoke on camera both agreed the transactions might be controversial.
