Dog of the Week: Darcella

This lovely lady is named Darcella (A14314091)! She is a beautiful 3- to  5-year-old golden brindle Staffordshire Terrier mix weighing in around 42 pounds. She has an adorable shorter, stout body and beautiful light brown eyes.

Darcella was found tied to a fence in a local school yard and brought to the shelter. Her family never came to claim her so now she’s on a mission to find a new foster or forever home! She’s a low- to medium-energy girl who pulls a little bit on the leash, but is relatively easy to handle. Darcella did well in her behavior evaluation at the shelter and didn’t show any issues with basic or advanced handling.

It appears as though Darcella doesn’t have much experience with toys; while she loves to play with them, she can’t quite catch on to the concept of fetch. She does however, love pets from her human friends and enjoys meeting other dogs. She did well in her meets here, but please bring your resident dogs in to meet her to make sure its a good match. Darcella showed no interest in cats here at the shelter.

Though she’s a happy girl outside, Darcella seems a little down in the dumps while in her kennel. Can you help get her out of the stressful shelter and into a nice home? Please come meet her today!
