Leaf recycling in effect through Dec. 16

Philadelphia’s bagged leaf drive is underway, and residents have until mid-December to put their leaves on the curb for pickup.

Through Dec. 16, you can put your bagged leave on the curb next to the trash and/or recycle to have the bags picked up for composting and fertilizing.

Leaves should only be bagged in paper leaf bags (find them at your local hardware store) since those can be recycled, too. Keep trash and other recyclables out of the leaf bags. You can put out as many leaf bags as you want, at 40 lbs. each.
