Planning Commission reveals pedestrian/bike draft plans for the Northeast

Earlier this fall, the City Planning Commission held public meetings in Northeast and West Philadelphia to discuss the beginning of Phase 2 of the city’s Pedestrian and Bike Plan.

Those draft plans are ready and detail how streets in our region could change to better meet the needs to pedestrians and bikers.

Take a look at the two maps, which show which streets in the Northeast are due for updates; some will get bikes lanes, others will become shared roads and some still require further studies.

The next part of the plan involves public comment on these recommendations, but only until Dec. 9.
