Christmas came early to Fox Chase Saturday [slideshow]
Christmas came early to Fox Chase this past Saturday with three events in the neighborhood.
The annual green sale at Fox Chase Farm, Craft Sale and Bazaar at Ryerss Museum and Library and the annual Christmas Tree Lighting in Lions Park.
Santa paid two early visits to Fox Chase; the first stop at Ryerss Museum and Library where Santa and Gary the Elf appeared after a VIP escort from The Chrome City Police. Santa toured the museum, met the blacksmiths and checked out all the craft tables before sitting down and spending time with the kids.
After a brief rest, Santa then went to Lions Park in the heart of Fox Chase, courtesy of The Rockledge Fire Department. The large crowd of adults and children greeted him and the Christmas music of Leslie and The Celtic Connection filled the park. The event was topped off with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting.
Early Christmas continues in Fox Chase on Dec. 10, when the Northeast Lions will hold their annual Christmas Tree Sale in Lions Park at 7900 Oxford Ave. and The Fox Chase Library holds its annual Christmas Craft Show at 499 Rhawn St.
