Dog of the Week: Sofia

Meet Sofia! Sofia (A14314091) is a beautiful, golden brindle 3- to 5-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix.

She has a super-cute, subtle underbite and big brown eyes. Sofia was brought to the shelter after she was found tied to the fence in a local school yard. No one ever came to claim her so Sofia is on the look out for a new chance at life!

Sofia has two big loves in life: people and toys. She loves to snuggle with everyone she meets, gives sloppy kisses and walks well on the leash. Sofia also adores balls of any kind: tennis balls, squeaky balls, and even large plastic ones with holes! She thinks they are great fun and is very easily entertained (and exercised!) by games of fetch.

She also is pretty smart and is learning commands and beginning clicker training. Sofia is a little more picky about her doggy friends, but can you blame a girl for wanting only the best of friends? If you have dogs at home and are thinking about adding Sofia to your family, be sure to bring your dogs to the shelter so she can meet them! Sofia also thinks that cats aren’t anything to get too excited about and can probably live with them.
