Cat of the Week: Henry

Meet Henry (fka 10)! This handsome 1- to 2-year-old tuxedo boy came to ACCT at the end of October as part of an eviction case involving more than 20 cats from the same house. Some of the cats were better socialized than others, and Henry is one of the cats who clearly lacked the one-on-one attention he needed and wanted. While he’s timid and scared at ACCT, he’s got a playful mischievous side to him that is endearing and appealing.

He is intrigued by toys and enjoys playing with feather wands and catnip mice. He is learning to accept more and more head scratches and he thinks he might even like them. Henry loves other cats, but not so much for the dogs. Henry adores being held and carried, purrs up a storm and is completely relaxed. He is probably more of a fake- scaredy cat than anything!

Henry is looking for a patient adopter or foster who is willing to work with him as he grows more and more used to living in a normal home. Please give Henry his lucky break and spring him from the shelter today! Interested in knowing more about Henry?

These animals are located at Philadelphia’s animal control shelter, ACCT. They need immediate adoption or foster care. ACCT is located at 111 W Hunting Park Ave and is open 365 days a year.
