Dog of the Week: Bamby

One look at Bamby (A14832906) and you’ll fall in love! Bamby is 3-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier who came to the shelter not too long after giving birth to a litter of pups.

It’s no wonder why she is so thin; she was found as a stray, wandering around the streets of Philadelphia by herself. She weighs in at just 36 pounds.

This petite little girl has no issues with basic or advanced handling, and adores any kind of attention you give her. She’s easy to handle and very mild-mannered. She was happy to have a full meal during her behavior evaluation and showed no issues with food.

Bamby also showed no interest in the cats here at the shelter and little interest in playing with the other dogs. But once she’s settled in and has some meat on her bones, she’ll likely want to romp and play with them. Please bring your resident dogs down to meet her to make sure it’s a good match.

Bamby would be much happier in a foster or forever home where she can gain some weight, relax and just be a dog. Interested in meeting this beauty? Please stop by the shelter today!
