Cat of the Week: Ozzy

Ozzy (A14997726) hasn’t had the easiest life. Life on the streets was tough for this petite little girl, who hasn’t even reached her first birthday yet.

Instead of playing with toys and cuddling with her family, Ozzy was just trying to survive. Just when it was getting a little too cold for comfort, Ozzy was plucked off the street by animal control. Now she’s warm and fed, but facing a whole new scary situation.

Life in a shelter is confusing and terrifying for poor Ozzy. She’s just so cute, with her gray and white coat and big eyes, that you just want to pick her up and hold her. Ozzy’s not quite ready for that yet, but what she is ready for is a home.

She needs a foster or forever family that has patience and understanding, and will give her the time she needs to adjust. Ozzy is still just a baby. She deserves a chance to live the good life that kittens are supposed to have!

These animals are located at Philadelphia’s animal control shelter, ACCT. They need immediate adoption or foster care. ACCT is located at 111 W Hunting Park Ave and is open 365 days a year. Adoption hours are Monday-Friday; 1pm-8pm; Saturday and Sunday; 10am-5pm. To check the status of an animal, call 267-385-3800. Check in every week with NEast Philly to see the cat and dog of the week.
