Time running out to comment on first two Philadephia2035 district-level comprehensive plans

The public can still comment on drafts of the first two district-level portions of the city’s new comprehensive plan, but time runs out March 1.

The plans for Lower South – which covers the Port, Navy Yard, sports complexes and nearby neighborhoods – and West Park – which covers neighborhoods near Fairmount Park, were unveiled at a special planning commission meeting last month.  The plans set out long-range land use and other goals, and will lead to changes in zoning classifications.

The full text of each can be viewed at the Philadelphia2035 website. Planning Commission Executive Director Gary Jastrzab says the best way to comment is via an email to phila2035@phila.gov.
