Man wanted for stealing from firefighters’ raffle baskets

Police in the 15th District are looking for the man seen stealing from raffle baskets at a firefighters fundraiser Friday night.

SmokeEaters Pub in Holmesburg held a benefit for deceased firefighters Robert Neary and Daniel Sweeney. During the party, a suspect was seen on surveillance camera cutting into and stealing from raffle baskets meant for the fundraiser. Neary and Sweeney died last weekend battling a factory fire in Kensington.

The suspect is a white male about 40 years of age, 5’10”-6′ and 280-300lbs. He has short dark hair, was wearing light-colored pants and a T-shirt with a light colored, short sleeve button shirt over the top.
