Makeover for police department’s district web pages

Go to the Philadelphia Police Department’s districts web page and what’ll you get?

The first thing you’ll see is a colorful map breaking down the department’s districts and their Police Service Areas. Everything under that hood just received a makeover.

We often receive emails and phone calls from readers asking to be put in touch with the appropriate police personnel. We take that request seriously, but also Northeast residents to be aware of the resources at their fingertips.

Each district page has the same basic elements: a captain’s photo and bio, nonemergency contact information, district meeting dates, and the names and contact information for PSA lieutenants. PSAs are set up in every district to allow the same police officers and lieutenants to patrol specific areas within their districts and build a rapport with the residents and business owners.

Emergencies should still be reported to 911.
