How to have a wedding at the Pennypack Park gazebo

Pennypack Park has many beautiful features, but the gazebo on the Delaware River in Upper Holmesburg really stands out.

It’s no wonder Bridesburg resident Donna Ludwig wants to help her daughter and future son-in-law hold their wedding there. But actually going about that proved a little difficult.

So Eyes on the Street stepped in to help and contacted the  Department of Parks & Recreation to find out how to use the gazebo for a wedding, short of showing up in a white dress and hoping no one else is already there.

Turns out, there is a formalized process for having a gazebo ceremony, but the happy couple should know going in that the frequently used space around the gazebo will still be open to the public.
