15th District police look for burglary, robbery suspects

Police in the 15th District are looking for the suspects who burglarized a home in Sandyford Park and robbed a 7-Eleven in Holmebsurg.

The burglary happened overnight Monday into Tuesday on the 3000-block of Guilford Street. The residents were asleep in the house when the suspect entered through an unlocked window and left with credit cards, keys and laptops. Around 2 a.m. Tuesday, one of the credit cards was used at the 7-Eleven at 3301 Tyson Ave. in Mayfair.

The suspect is described as a male about 5’10” with medium build. He was wearing a dark-colored hoodie, dark-colored pants and driving an older model maroon four-door sedan. He was captured on surveillance video at the 7-Eleven.

The robbery in Holmesburg took place May 24 around 1:30 a.m. at the 7-Eleven at 7901 Frankford Ave. That suspect pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded cash from two register drawer, but one was empty. He took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled south on Frankford Avenue by foot.

He is described as a black male with a dark complexion and a thin build, standing about 6’0″ tall. He has a thin mustache and was wearing a dark-colored hoodie and pants.
