National Night Out returns to Fox Chase [photos]

Since 1984, neighborhoods around the country have gathered for one night every August as a reminder of their commitment to fighting crime in their communities.

This year was no exception, and Tuesday’s National Night Out event in Fox Chase was made extra special by the neighborhood’s ability to have an event at all this year.

Last year’s NNO events around the Northeast took place without the usual community festival at Fox Chase Elementary School. The event was back this year, along with events in the 2nd, 8th and 15th police districts.
