Applications are now being accepted for ULI Philadelphia’s inaugural Awards for Excellence

If you have been involved in or know of an award-worthy development project, applications are now being accepted for ULI Philadelphia’s inaugural Awards for Excellence.  The awards will honor the legacy of Willard G. “Bill” Rouse III, civic leader, developer, and a founder of ULI Philadelphia, with a long-term commitment from Liberty Property Trust.

Applications are now being accepted and open to all ULI members and non-members for projects completed within the last five years in Southeastern and Central Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Delaware.

ULI has set the global standard in recognizing outstanding and transformational land use developments, best practices and creative visioning.  This year, for the first time, we will be honoring the best projects in the region.  The widest possible range of project types and sizes will be considered – residential, commercial, industrial, mixed use, parks and open spaces and other developments from both the for-profit and nonprofit worlds.

Each application will be carefully evaluated by highly experienced and deeply engaged ULI members from across the country.  Projects must meet ULI’s mission to provide leadership in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide; achieve excellence in the use of best practices; demonstrate quality planning and designincorporate elements that build healthy places (ULI’s global theme); promote environmental sustainabilityand energy reduction; achieve economic success and market acceptance; and meet community needs.

Applications are now being accepted through March 28.  Finalists will be notified in May and winners will be announced at a cocktail reception on June 18th at The Ballroom at The Ben Franklin House in Center City Philadelphia – save the date!
