The US House defeated a push to make even deeper cuts to Amtrak.

City job growth is outperforming the region as a whole, even as the greater Philadelphia region has been growing slowly.

The city released a big trove of parking data, in advance of tonight’s big Apps for Philly Transportation hackathon. Studying the parking market is the first step toward winning more rational parking policies, and better data should help that along. 

The city is also using Socrata for data visualizations now. You can see a visualization of the parking violation data here. 

Indego’s solar-powered bike docking stations are running out of juice due in part to the unseasonably overcast weather, and “dock blocking” riders from taking out bikes.
