Philadelphia’s annual Bike To Work Day is May 19 — and we at the Bicycle Coalition are excited to lead in this year’s ride with local bike commuters, city cyclists, and city leaders and show the world that Philly bikes!
As usual, the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia will host several Energizer Stations around the city in the morning, and a press conference at Philadelphia City Hall later in the morning, where we’ll be presenting two “Bike-Phriendly Business” awards to local companies and organizations that have made bicycling a priority in their workplace.
The announced energizer stations will be at the Penn Museum (33rd and South Streets), The Last Drop Coffee House (13th and Pine), and along the Schuylkill River Trail, with our final destination being the press conference at Dilworth Park.
Snap Kitchen will provide snacks and Zipcar will provide bike lights at all stations!
Energizer station coffee will generously be provided by The Last Drop and La Colombe!
Urban Stems will be providing flowers to build-your-own-bouquet at the Penn Museum station and offering blossoms at all stations.
Join Penn Museum cyclists at a photo and object station to take fun archaeologically-themed pictures, plus receive coupons for the museum’s Summer Nights concert series and enter to win free concert passes!
At the end of the day, come join us at Yards Brewing Company! We’ll be bringing in the weekend with discounted happy hour beers and chances to win prizes. Come out, enjoy a pint, and buy a raffle ticket for a new GIANT bicycle to support the Bicycle Coalition.
