Steinberg is the founding director of Penn Praxis, the clinical consulting arm of the
School of Design, and an adjunct assistant professor of city and regional planning who teaches a course in citizen participation and civic visioning in the graduate program.

Bridget Keegan has four years of professional planning experience in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Prior to joining Penn Praxis, she served as project manager for a series of transit-oriented development projects where she has helped suburban Philadelphia communities develop site plans, land use plans, and implementation strategies for the development of underutilized sites around train stations. In addition, Bridget brings a good deal of public involvement experience to the team. Her work seeks to balance the needs of the community and the client and reflects strategic thinking about implementation needs.

Goodman joined Praxis in the summer of 2005. Other civic engagement projects he has worked on at Praxis include the Franklin Conference on School Design, Creating a Civic Vision for 40th and Market Streets and the Kimmel Center Public Spaces project.

Masters degrees in City and Regional Planning and Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania. Her B.A. is in Government and Philosophy from Skidmore College.
Hahn has written for various media outlets, public agencies, and nonprofit clients. Her reporting earned an award for Environmental Coverage from the New York Press Association in 2004. Most recently Ashley worked for the Historic Properties Fund at the New York Landmarks Conservancy.

Steven Ujifusa is a writer and historical consultant living in Philadelphia. He is currently working on his first book, tentatively titled The Ideal Ship: William Francis Gibbs and his Quest for the SS United States, which will be published by Twelve Books in 2011. The book will recount the now-forgotten story of America’s greatest naval architect and the magnificent ocean liner — the fastest, safest, and most beautiful ever built — that he devoted his life to designing and building, against the backdrop of the politics, culture, society, and enterprise of mid-20th century America. Steven has written numerous articles on urban planning and historic preservation for PlanPhilly.com, a website run by the University of Pennsylvania. He also serves on the board of the SS United States Conservancy, a national nonprofit dedicated to saving the great ship and preserving her historical legacy.

Jared Brey
