According to the Philadelphia Streets Department, as of August 1, residents can recycle more than just soda and water bottles, milk jugs and detergent and shampoo bottles. Now, rigid plastic containers, plastic tubs and lids from butter and margarine, yogurt containers, plastic cups and plates and more are able to be recycled. More information is available at the Streets department website.

GREAT! I've been holding onto these plastics for month hoping that this would happen. Great job Philly!
