Design Advocacy Group

Note the meeting date - July 9, not the usual first Thursday.   As Drexel and Penn continue to expand and opportunities for private development grow, lower Lancaster Avenue is being altered, raising questions about scale, density, historic preservation, and the balance between public, private and institutional interests.  In the 3600 block, proposed development would transform a neighborhood commercial corridor whose whose largely intact nineteenth-century buildings are now home to small businesses and restaurants. A panel of speakers will discuss what's happening from several points of view.
